- Turn the cartridge upside down and using a pointed object,
such as a paper clip, pierce through the Top Chamber Fill Hole
and the Bottom Chamber Fill Hole as shown above.
- Try and trim as much of the label away from the hole itself as
shown. Take a dull knife or eyelet screw and enlarge the center
breather hole in the Top Chamber Fill Hole.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: When screwing in to the breather
hole you must orientate that cartridge as shown lest ink might
leak out and angle the eyelet screw to the right. The screw will
want to thread straight but insist that it goes in at a right
angle.
- Attach the needle to the syringe and fill with the correct
color ink.
- Insert the needle at the same angle as the eyescrew hole. The
needle might still go in to the cartridge straight but insist
that it goes in at the same angle as the eyelet screw. You
should be able to insert the needle about half way in. There is
a cellophane seal inside the cartridge, make sure not to scrape
the tip of the needle as you insert it or it might tear the
seal.
- Inject approximately 12 ml of ink EXTREMELY slowly into the
filling hole until the cartridge is almost full. Any unused ink
may be returned to the bottle.
- Make sure the area around the fill hole is dry and use the
included tape dots or you can use electrical tape to seal both
filling holes, making certain that the filling hole is
completely sealed.
- Rinse the syringe with water and dry for further use, or use
with a different color ink.
- Follow the resetting instructions for inserting cartridges
into printer.
